Default Common Responses Disappearing or Not Updating

We have discovered that in ClickForms versions 3.3.0 and above if the user has not created and saved responses previously, they will not have any of the ClickForms Default Common Responses. If you’re experiencing this issue, Please download this file.

Save the file CommonRsps.rsp to the My Documents>My ClickForms> Responses folder and when prompted to replace the existing file click on Yes.

Note: By replacing the existing file, any saved responses you already have will be replaced.

To resolve this, click OK, then simply delete the unlocking code in the ClickFORMS Updates field. Click FINISH, and your registration will complete successfully.

If you save your Reports to a USB device

We have found that there is an issue that can arise when you save your reports to a USB device, such as a Flash Drive, Thumb Drive or USB External Hard Drive that could cause the loss of your Reports List.

If you have a report open in ClickFORMS and click FILE>SAVE AS and direct ClickFORMS to save to the USB device, then close the report and disconnect the USB device before closing ClickFORMS, you will receive the following error message »

If you click the OK button you WILL lose the data contained in the Reports List. YOUR REPORTS FILES WILL NOT BE AFFECTED. If you encounter this error message DO NOT click the OK button, please contact Bradford Technical Support immediately, or, hold down the CTRL+ALT+DEL keys and click on TASK MANAGER. Under the APPLICATIONS tab, click on ClickFORMS, then click END TASK. If the END NOW box appears, please click END NOW.

If you use one of these devices as part of your day to day activities, please save your report to your local hard drive or network location as normally, then browse to that location in Windows Explorer, right click on the Report you’d like to transfer, and click SEND TO>USB Disk (X:), or simply drag the report to the USB.

Apex and ClickFORMS have stopped working together -
What do I do now?

Since Apex created the integration for Apex version 3.2 for ClickFORMS, please contact Apex at 800-858-9958.

If you are using Apex version 2.4 - 2.9.1, please Close ClickFORMS and Apex. Locate the ClickFORMS installer package you downloaded (or click here to be directed to the ClickFORMS download page-remember to save the download to your desktop), and double click to activate. When prompted, please chose the REPAIR option. After the installation is complete click START>RUN and either copy or type the following into the text box:
regsvr32 "C:\Program Files\Bradford\ClickForms\Tools\Sketchers\Apex\ApexX.ocx"
then click OK. Restart ClickFORMS, open a blank sketch page and try to invoke Apex again.

If you are using a version of Apex below 2.9.1, we were told by Apex that you will be able to upgrade to version 2.9.1 at no charge, however, we strongly suggest you upgrade to the latest version. If the upgrade to version 2.9.1 is not successful or if it asks you to reregister, please contact Apex for registration information.

If you are using Apex v3.2, follow the following steps:

  1. Download and install Apex v3.2 as normal. You may download Apex v3.2 by clicking one of the following:          Single User Version            Multi User Version
  2. Register Apex v3.2 by calling an Apex representative: 800-858-9958
Note: You can still run Apex in Demo Mode, but it may report an error when launching through ClickFORMS™.
  3. After registering Apex, click on the following link: ClickFORMS Integration Controls
  4. Choose Run when prompted.

This will run a small utility that will locate where your Apex v3.2 is installed and then install a file (ApexX.ocx) to the same directory. This integration control will also be registered when the process is complete.

The following was supplied by Bradford Technologies as additional information to setup the link to Apex from within ClickFORMS:

  1. In ClickFORMS™, just go to Tools > Apex to launch it.
  2. If Apex is not an option, go to Edit > Preferences > Tools > Plug-In Tools and make sure that Apex is typed in the Menu Name column.

Please don't hesitate to call APEX directly for any Apex issues you are having.

Census Tract service in ClickFORMS v3.3 and below is no longer accessible.
The website that ClickFORMS accesses to provide census tract information has been changed by the U.S. Government to http://app.ffiec.gov/geocode/default.htm.
This change is accommodated in ClickFORMS version 3.4.3.

The Comparables Database is not saving the user's preferences after closing.

To save the user preferences, open ClickFORMS, open the Comps Database, click PREFERENCES, and double click on the selections you wish to display or hide. Close the Comps Database, exit ClickFORMS, and the reopen ClickFORMS. Your preferences will then be saved properly.

Form text is blank or overlaps other text.
